Cut is the only C you shouldn't compromise.

Cut determines how much light the diamond returns. Two stones of identical carat, colour, and clarity can look dramatically different if one is cut for weight retention rather than beauty. Always buy Excellent or Ideal.

Colour: where to stop paying

Colour is graded from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). D–F grades are considered colourless, while G–H fall into the near-colourless range. The difference between D and G is generally difficult to see face-up in a mounted ring. Reia’s standard across the collection is EF colour.

Weekly cleaning at home. Warm water, a few drops of unscented dish soap, soak for 20 minutes, brush gently behind the stone with a soft toothbrush, rinse, pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Most of the dullness people mistake for a diamond losing sparkle is skin oil and soap film on the pavilion.

Avoid: Chlorine, bleach, and ultrasonic cleaners on pavé settings. Remove before swimming, gym sessions, gardening, and applying lotion.
