Looking After It

Reia's engagement rings start at around ₹15,000 and go past ₹3,00,000, with most falling between ₹40,000 and ₹1,50,000, depending on carat weight, diamond shape and gold purity.

Which diamond shape looks the largest for its carat weight? 

Elongated shapes, marquise, oval, pear, and emerald look larger than a round of the same carat weight, because more of the stone's weight sits across the surface rather than in its depth. Marquise covers the most fingers.

Does Reia sell mangalsutras and bridal jewellery in Guwahati?

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds? 

Yes. They are crystallised carbon with the same chemical composition, crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as mined diamonds. The only difference is that they're grown in a laboratory over weeks rather than formed underground over billions of years.

Will a lab-grown diamond pass a diamond tester? 

Yes. Standard testers measure thermal conductivity, and a lab-grown diamond conducts heat exactly as a mined diamond does. Distinguishing the two requires specialist laboratory equipment, which is why the origin is stated on the certificate.

Can anyone tell the difference by looking? 

No. They are indistinguishable by eye, and a trained gemologist needs laboratory equipment to separate them.

Are Reia's lab-grown diamonds certified? 

Yes, IGI or SDI certified, with cut, colour, clarity and carat documented on the report. Gold is BIS-hallmarked. Reia's house standard is EF colour and VVS clarity.

What is EF colour and VVS clarity? 

EF is near the top of the colour scale, within the colourless range, meaning the diamond reads bright white in any lighting. VVS means very, very slightly included, eye-clean, with inclusions visible only under magnification. Together, they sit above the usual commercial grade.

Can I resell a lab-grown diamond later? 

Open-market resale for lab-grown diamonds is currently limited. What protects your spend at Reia is the Carat Club and the lifetime exchange and buyback programme, which lets you trade up and recover up to 70% of your diamond's value toward an upgrade.
